11th Founder's day celebration and 3rd convocation

 

 

11TH FOUNDER'S DAY CELEBRATION AND 3RD CONVOCATON CEREMONIES

The 11th founder’s day celebration and 3rd convocation ceremonies was a 4day event with diverse array of guest from all works of life. The event was the top most colourful, excellent and grand style fiesta in the history of the college. It was indeed an event marked by festivities. Opening with  a free medical outreach at Oja Oba / Erekesan market, Ado-Ekiti with lines of group of people waiting to be a partaker of the free medical treatments such as checking of blood pressure, general / body cross examination, examining of teeth, etc. Those who attended this outreach were also given free drugs, free toothpaste, tooth brushes etc. The program lasted for about three hours with excitement on the faces of the beneficiaries.

On Saturday 26th Feb 2022 was the second day of the ceremony, the event of the day was a friendly /novelty football match between the college staff and students. The event was anchored by the coach of the college with all players neatly dressed in their beautiful jersey. This match took place at the college sport complex. The event which lasted for 90minutes ended with a score of one to zero. With the student taking the lead.

The third day of the ceremony, 27th February 2022, being the thanksgiving service at the college chapel was fully attended by staff, students, and representatives of the board of directors with their family members and well-wishers. The chapel was filled to its capacity as everyone attended in their beautiful attires to show appreciation to God for how far He had taking the college since the inception.

The thanksgiving service commenced by 9: 00am with an opening prayer and then the praise and worship session anchored by the college’s school choir and the Joint Christian Campus Fellowship (JCCF) choir. The Clergy man Ven Dr Otenaike shared the sermon from the holy book, Ephesians chapter 2 verses one to ten. He laid more emphasis on verse eight which says “for by grace ye are saved through faith and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God”.

Ven Dr Otenaike made mention of the five categories of Nigerians which is the extremely poor, the poor, the average, rich and very rich he explained each categories and those who fall into each of the categories. The clergy admonished students to be of good conducts and also advised them not to cut corners to get rich.

The grande finale of the convocation/founders day celebration was the convocation held on the 28th February, 2022 at the college hall. Lots of dignitaries from far and near were in attendance including: The Ogoga of Ikere-Ekiti Oba Samuel Adu Adejimi, Tge Alagbado Agirilala II who was ably represented, the commissioner of education in Ekiti State Dr Olabimpe Aderiye, The vice chancellor of Ekiti state University, Prof Edward Olanipekun amidst other dignitaries.

The programme commenced with the convocation lecture by Mr Gilbert Ayodele Seluwa, the executive secretary PHCDA Ekiti state who was the guest speaker. The lecture titled “ROLE OF MIDDLE LEVEL SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDG’S) FOR NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT” was well presented.

 The acting president of the college Chief Mrs Celine Olanipekun(JP) delivered her address likewise the Provost of the college Dr (Mrs) Foluke Ajibulu. Good will messages came from almost all the dignitaries present at the occasion. An award of excellence was presented to the C.E.O of little by little photo Chief Julius Adegoke Ajayi and also the CMD Federal teaching hospital Ido-Ekiti, Dr Adekunle Ajayi.

The best graduating students from each department  were called out for recognition, each of them received an hand shake from the provost of the college and were to revert to their HOD’s for their gifts.

To the glory of God, the four day event came to an end on a note of great success. God bless Fabotas College , God bless Ekiti State , God bless Nigeria.
