BRIEF HISTORY: The department started about five years ago when the founder Late Chief (HON) Boboye Olanipekun engaged some pharmacists in the state about his intention to include the department in the college. Pharm Durojaye of blessed memory was brought on board as the pioneer Head of Department and  Dean of students’ affairs of the college. The Pharmacists Council of Nigeria PCN was contacted for inspection and granted the college the permission to admit students to the department after fulfilling the necessary criteria of the council.

Under the headship of Pharm Durojaye, another pharmacist who was then the acting HOD at the college of Health Ijero, Pharm Uche Friday was invited to offer his expertise and experience and ever since, the department has been at the fore front in the college.

In 2018, despite the fact that the department had three pharmacists, concerted effort was made to bring in another full time pharmacist Pharm Oke Silas who was later made the HOD of the department.

The accreditation team of Council visited the college in 2018 and noticing the structure and human development project of the college granted the department the much awaited ACCREDITATION!

Also worth of mentioning in the department is the unprecedented success of our final year students at the NATIONAL EXAMINATION where we recorded 100% success. Our student’s performance in the national examination was tagged one the best in the whole federation.
